FIT Offers Degree in Cosmetics & Fragrance Marketing

This AAS degree program starts in fall 2026 and is built on the success of FIT’s Bachelor of Science program in CFM.

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), part of the State University of New York (SUNY) and a launched an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing (CFM). 

Built upon the success of FIT’s Bachelor of Science degree program in CFM, this financially accessible new offering provides a streamlined pathway into beauty.

Applications are now open for the program, which will commence in fall 2026. 

Virginia Bonofiglio, chair, Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing, said, 

“The launch of FIT’s AAS in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing reflects our leadership in beauty education—preparing students with the skills to succeed, while serving the evolving needs of this dynamic industry.”

The AAS program introduces students to the multifaceted field of beauty through cross-disciplinary learning that integrates sensory evaluation, brand development, and the business of beauty. 

This holistic approach reflects the rapid changes reshaping the industry and prepares students to thrive in a field where success increasingly depends on interdisciplinary skills and global awareness. 

Students will have the exciting opportunity to work in FIT’s Fragrance Lab and have access to the Beauty Center at FIT

Upon graduation, in addition to direct-to-career outcomes, students will be eligible to pursue other BS degrees at FIT.
